When searching for any role such as information security jobs it is always wise to be prepared and there are many steps that can be taken before the application process. A few things to remember to do include the following:
Networking – contact friends, family and acquaintances and let them know what job you are looking for as they may be aware of some openings that are relevant for your job search.
Prepare for the interview – Be creative in researching the company, don’t just focus on the internet search and perhaps talk to existing employees.
An important step before applying to jobs is to make a list of the skills and qualities you possess and find the industries and organisations that suit these skills.
