Its not the time which matters but the connection

December 31st, 2011

How many people like to keep their childhood friends? Here we are talking about the very friends who saw you growing up and know your little secrets. Well, it’s true to say that not many people like to keep the older friends because they are scared that these people will give them away when they succeed. Also there is the fear that there may not be any encouragement to succeed because these people know you inside out. While someone may prefer to contact Friends Reunited friends just to keep up with their past, they may not want to do it for keeps. It’s a way of finding out what people are doing and then making sure that you stay away from the ones who are not doing so well. You might think that this is mean, but it’s all about protecting oneself. Some people however take the time to make friends anew. You never know who you might need after you become older. Sometimes the old friends are the very ones you need to revitalize what was lacking in your life. If you are one of the people who are interested in keeping up with friends, you may decide to start your own facebook group so that you can retain some of the friends you need. At the end of the day, you have the last say as to whom you want to communicate with. It does not matter whether you knew the person a long time ago or not. What matters is that you have someone whom you can communicate with on a level basis where both of you contribute to the process as you learn from each other.
